St. Jude's Church in Choorithode - Kakkachal is a vibrant spiritual center serving the Syro-Malabar Catholic community. As part of the Maripuram Parish under the Thalassery Diocese, our church is dedicated to St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.

St. Jude, also known as Thaddeus, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is distinguished in the New Testament as the author of the Epistle of Jude.
He is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes, and many faithful seek his intercession for difficult situations. His feast days are celebrated on June 19 (Syro-Malabar & Eastern tradition) and October 28 (Latin Rite). The flame above his head represents the Holy Spirit descending at Pentecost. He is often depicted holding an image of Christ or a carpenter's rule, symbolizing his role as the "mender" of hopeless situations.

Join us for the grand annual feast celebration of St. Jude's Church, a spiritual sanctuary in the hills of Kasaragod. The memorial feast of St. Jude, one of Christ's twelve apostles and the patron of desperate causes, will be celebrated from January 15 to 18, 2026.
We cordially invite everyone to participate in these sacred celebrations to give thanks for the manifold blessings received through the heavenly intercession of the Saint and to seek spiritual grace for the days ahead.
NB: Facilities for confession and making offerings will be available during the feast days.
